About the Event
The goldsmith-turned-architect Filippo Brunelleschi made a name for himself in early Renaissance Florence with projects such as the Hospital of the Innocents and the Medici-sponsored Old Sacristy of San Lorenzo and of course, the dome for Florence cathedral. He was the first to resurrect an architectural language that had been dead for a millennium, and to re-establish Classical language as the foundation of Italian architecture for the next two and half centuries. Join Elaine Ruffolo and trace the extraordinary career of Filippo Brunelleschi.
